The Bundle on the Dresser is a performance poem by Maggie Norton, who in 2001 recorded diaries of families affected by foot and mouth. Bundle is about a Cumbrian hill farmer who wants his son to take over. Then foot and mouth arrives. Kate Harrison Whiteside, captivated by the story, created this film to support a reading, using Cumbrian fells scenes as a backdrop.
Festival host Gabriel Griffin said: "Maggie...managed to convey the horror and the desperation the farmers must have felt so well..." "Kate...images are absolutely beautiful!...a most impressive and poetic piece of work."
